Yesterday I took myself down to the south Kent coast and inadvertently ended up in Camber Sands; just over the county border in East Sussex. It is not the most interesting of places, but the beach and sand dunes are very pretty and well worth a visit.
As it is located in a fairly remote part of the country, getting there by public transport is a bit tricky. The nearest towns are Rye, Winchelsea and Hastings but there is also a bus service operating from Folkestone which travels along the south Kent coast. It takes approximately approximately 90 minutes.
