Situated in the Serra de Sintra, approximately 16 miles north-west of Lisbon, the town of Sintra is a real joy to visit. Its cultural landscape, which includes the Moorish Castle, Pena Palace, Royal Palace, Quinta da Regaleira, Seteais Palace, Monserrate Palace and Queluz Palace, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the photo above, you can see the Seteais Palace, which is now a luxury hotel, at sunset.
